I must confess that I always face the Easter break with mixed feelings. I love to remember the true meaning of Easter and to spend time with family, however I always remember my brother too. 18 years ago, he and his girlfriend were the first Easter fatalities on our NSW roads and while the years lessen the pain, the memories are still strong. It is for this reason that we never venture far from home, choosing to stay off the roads as much as possible.
So needless to say, this Easter break was a lovely quiet time spent at home - just the four of us. We spend time sorting, doing odd jobs that had been put off for way too long, hubby did some gardening, the kids played (LOTS) and I completed a new design and typed the pattern as well.
Easter morning was a special time for my kids - they loved having a visit from the Easter bunny. This year, the Easter bunny got her jumper caught on our back door, and it started to unravel, so as she hopped all around our yard, she left a trail of pink wool. She was looking for just the right place to leave the Easter eggs, so left a trail of clues and lots of wool wrapped around everything in our yard. Emily and Jasper had lots of fun (at 6am in the morning) following the wool and clues to find their eggs. I of course, chased after them with my camera.
Today, we had the pleasure of gathering together with most of my family to celebrate my Father's 81'st birthday. It was lovely to chat, share yummy food and generally be together. A BIG Happy Birthday to my wonderful Dad for tomorrow xx
I hope that however you spent your Easter break, it was a lovely and safe one, filled with wonderful memories and fun times too. xx Janelle
