Earlier this week an exciting package arrived from Theresa of Rummage Style. It was my second Beginnings dress that Theresa made with one of the fabrics I chose from the gorgeous selection of fabrics on her site. As soon as I saw this fabric online, I knew it was for me - it was grey! I am crushing all things grey at the moment.
I decided that today was the day to debut my Beginnings dress, it was drizzly and cooler and perfect for this dress. While I was putting my outfit together, I tried SO many of my necklaces and couldn't find one that was just 'right'. I headed off to teach my class without a necklace on, something quite rare for me, I adore necklaces.
Then, when I collected my mail on the way to class, a parcel was there from the lovely Toni Coward of Make it Perfect. Last week Toni had posted some photos of necklaces she had been making on Instagram. I loved them all and was super excited when Toni said they were for sale. I chose one in colours I loved and was even more excited when I opened my parcel and found that the necklace was the perfect match for my beautiful new dress. I popped it on and wore it proudly all day.
You may have noticed something a little different about me in these photos. Today after class, I headed to the hairdressers for a MUCH overdue pamper. I can't even remember the last time I headed to the salon. It was time for a proper haircut and some foils to blend in my greys. We decided to go a little lighter and a little shorter this time and after a lovely afternoon at the salon, I am thrilled with the result. A lighter, shorter me (well my hair anyway, I'm still the same height LOL).
Here's a little before shot I snapped while sitting in my foils.
And after - much better (not that I have a problem at all with grey hair, I am just very unevenly grey. Once it's all over, I am more than happy to have beautiful white hair - one day)
(Note: It was a bit hard to capture the exact colour of this dress in some of the photos, so take a look at the close up of my brooch or necklace to see a more accurate photo of the fabric and it's colours. It's beautiful)
Here's what I wore...
Clogs- Lotta from Stockholm
Mori Girl Wooden Brooch - Kirbeeart
Necklace - Make it Perfect
Not long after arriving home from the hairdressers, the electrician arrived to start installing some new lights for us - but that's a story for another day! Soon, I promise. All in all, it was a great day.
