On the weekend our little family of four headed into our favourite market. It was just a quick little visit towards the end of the day but both Emily and I were super thrilled to discover a new (to us) stall filled to overflowing with gorgeous dresses. The shop was called Oh Deer Boutique and it had us captivated from the first look.
While I didn't have any intention of purchasing anything on this trip, the pull of vintage style dresses quickly got the better of me. You see, the clothing on this stall were once vintage dresses/tops etc that had been revamped to have a more modern and fun feel. Emily quickly found a dress that caught her eye, so while she was trying it on, I decided to take a little look. It quickly became apparent that there were a LOT of dresses that I loved.
After a little arm twisting (not much was needed), I popped into the dressing room (tent) and tried on a few dresses. The first one I tried on was my absolute favourite - it had a grey background with large paisley all over it. It fit like a glove and after a glance at the price tag ($40) I had to make it mine. So yesterday, while taking the children to school for their first day, my new vintage dress had it's debut too.
Dress - Oh Deer Boutique
Brooch - a little something I purchased for myself a while ago - from Button Arcade (I love it)
Shoes - Lotta from Stockholme
I just adore my new dress so much, it is so comfortable to wear and it was something that I felt good in all day long. I'm already saving for another Oh Deer Boutique dress, and maybe another pair of Lotta clogs too. Vintage dresses do make me happy.
