all of my Christmas patterns? I was thinking the other day, I have lots of Christmas patterns. I wonder if my lovely blog readers have seen all of them? So here's a little fun post, just sharing a little about each of my Christmas patterns...
Christmas Traditions...
This is one of my older designs but still a firm favourite. Perfect for the traditional Christmas home, this pattern has the full instructions to make FOUR placements as well as the Christmas Welcome table runner. Add a Christmas print fabric to the back of each placemat to make them reversible as well. Lots of fun and a great Christmas gift idea too.
Crinkle Christmas...
For many years now, these Santa Sacks have been a very important part of our Christmas. For the days leading up to Christmas, they hang empty on the Children's bedroom doors, then on Christmas eve Santa tiptoes in and pop's his presents inside. The kids love this tradition and so do I. I'm sure a little person in your family or friendship circle may love their very own Santa sack too. Here are my two with their Santa sacks back in 2008 - my how time flies.
This bag is the perfect way to carry that special bottle of bubbly to
your next Christmas party. The perfect gift for a stitching friend too.
Add a little Christmas Cheer to your next Christmas party by making this cute wine bottle bag.
Vintage Christmas...
One of the things I love about the lead up to Christmas is the decorating. I am sad that this year we won't be decorating our home but I know that I have these gorgeous cushions all made and ready for next year. Based on a vintage style cushion that I remember from my Nanna's home when I was a little girl, these cushions are sure to be the perfect addition to any Christmas home.
AND once you have made a Christmas version, why not dive into your scraps and make a bright and colourful version that you can use all year round. You could also make one for a friend as a Christmas present. They are quick to make a whole lot of fun too!
This photo sadly doesn't do justice to this project but I must confess I really love this Christmas table runner. So much so that I am about to remake it in new colours to use in my home this Christmas (I will be sure to show you when it is done).
This table runner features gorgeous stars teamed with applique holly and is super quick and easy to make too, making it the perfect project to whip up for your home this Christmas (or next) or make one for your Mum, Aunty, sister or friend. I'm sure they would love it just as much as you do.
Holly & Rainbows...
If you love red and white as much as I do, then this Christmas runner is for you. Featuring stitchery, piecing and jumbo ric rac, this 'Holly Blessings' Christmas runner is sure to look beautiful in your home at Christmas time. And when all of the decorations are packed away, you could use your favourite scraps to make the 'Summer Blessings' runner to use throughout the year too. Another great pattern that lasts all year round.
Stitch a little Christmas...
This pattern features two bags for Christmas. The Bell Bag is perfect to
hang in your home and fill with sweet treats throughout the festive
season and the gift bag is perfect to make and fill with gifts for family,
friends, work colleagues, teachers etc...
Each year my local students make a Christmas project together and a few years ago they decided to make the Bell bag. Here they are holding their versions of this cute Christmas bag.
Christmas Wreath...
Shh, don't tell anyone but I think this is one of my most favourite of my Christmas designs. It is SUCH fun to make - lots of tearing of fabric, gluing and a whole lot of fun! This wreath is perfect to hang on a door or in your home at Christmas time too. My students also had fun making a wreath (or two) each in class - you can read all about it and see their versions HERE.
A sample of this Christmas Wreath is currently hanging in Ballarat Patchworks gorgeous store. I know Emma would be very happy to put a kit together for you if you are after some yummy fabrics to make this project.
Kitchen Fare...
This is another of my patterns that is not only for Christmas. Why not make a set of Christmas themed tea towels for Christmas time and a set of decorative floral tea towels as a gift for a special someone this Christmas. Be warmed, these tea towels are addictive to make!
All Wrapped up for Christmas...
This Christmas pattern gives you the perfect way to make fabric wrapping for your presents. The pattern contains full instructions to make these three bags, using one basic bag style - so much fun and so easy to make too. Also included in this pattern is detailed instructions to make fabric gift bags. If making pretty bags is something you like to do or if you are wanting to be environmentally friendly, then this pattern is for you. Either way, I am sure your friends and family would love to receive their gifts in a gorgeous handmade bag.
Christmas at the Cabin...
Last but definitely not least is my latest Christmas pattern, Christmas at the Cabin. If you would like the feel of a traditional Christmas without applique or if piecing quilts is more your thing, then I am sure you will love this gorgeous table centrepiece, Christmas at the Cabin. Also included in this pattern is the full pattern to make a set of matching mug mats, perfect as a gift or to compliment your quilt. I adore this pattern and I hope you will too.
When you look at these patterns all together, there sure is a lot. I think it might be an indication of how much I love Christmas. I hope you have enjoyed this little look into all things Christmas here at The Janelle Wind Collection. You might even see a pattern you would like to add to your collection of my designs. Either way, I hope it has spread a little Christmas cheer your way. xx Janelle
