School holidays that is. I don't know about you but I LOVE school holidays. I love having my kids near me, don't get me wrong, they have their bickering and fights but all in all we just love hanging out together. We don't do a lot of things, or fill our days with too much, we just enjoy sleep in's, pyjama days, eating at odd times, watching movies later than usual, sitting on the couch together and just plain old spending time together.
These past two weeks of school holidays really did go WAY too quickly. Our days were really full, but mainly with something great - renovating! I have SO much to share with you that I really don't know where to begin, so for now, here's a little photo recap of our school holidays.
Getting furniture ready to move.
Moving furniture ready to pull plaster off walls.
Laying in the sun, enjoying the warmer weather.
Walls coming down. Lots of them.
There was baking, and eating.
Lots and lots of stitching (until my sewing machine broke, but that's another story, thank goodness for family and being able to borrow one)
Spending LOTS of time with this little man as his sister flew back to QLD for some more time with her bestie.
There were some serious fires not too far from our home and we experienced an afternoon where we were surrounded by lots of smoke. It was very eerie indeed.
There was lots of dolly photo shoots in preparation for some upcoming etsy updates too.
Before I knew it, holidays were coming to an end and the early morning rush, school uniforms, packing lunches and all that the busyness of school brings, were back. Today the house has been quieter than usual and I have missed my kids terribly. I think I better start the count down until Christmas holidays now!
I also finished another month of Fat Mum Slim photo a day challenges. I am so proud of myself for sticking to this challenge as I know I will enjoy looking back over these little snippets from each day for many years to come. Here is my September...
I really do have SO much to share with you, so once I get my head around all the changes here, I will be back to share lots more with you. Talk soon xx
