The next stage of our renovations were just exciting as the first. Our builder arrived bright and early and set straight to work building us a set of stairs leading up to our new front door. He was very patient as I asked lots of questions and kindly explained how he worked out how to make the steps from two pieces of wood. I secretly wanted to be a builder when I was in school, so find this whole process very interesting.
In between the days when the builder was here, my lovely Dad worked hard stripping the paint from the back of the glass on our front door too. He had almost finished by this day and it was already letting SO much more light into our home. I was thrilled.
After just a few hours of work, the steps were finished and I was thrilled to test them out. They worked perfectly and were so much more stable than the blue crate we had been using too!
The front of our home was changing more and more, and I was thrilled with the results. My mind was already ticking as to how I could pretty up the front a little more too. Even though it is a temporary front, we plan to make it look as pretty as possible as we don't know how long these renovations will take.
Back soon with the next stage of our front of house make-over. We've been having lots of fun!!
