I just love the beginning of a new year - it is a time to reflect on the year just passed and look forward with anticipation to what the year ahead has in store. I am pretty excited about 2009 - It is going to be a GREAT year!!
Last Friday I was so excited to finally be able to visit a beautiful patchwork store not too far from where I live - called 'Blueberries'. It was like a visual feast for the eyes to be able to step through their doors, admire all of the beautiful quilts and delicious fabrics.

Armed with my 2009 project list, I began searching for just the right fabrics to begin my first projects of the year. I could have easily purchased a LOT more than I did, but the ones that came home with me are perfect! I have already designed my first project and plan to start stitching this week - so stay tuned for some sneak peeks... Here are some of the fabrics that will be used in my first project of the year...
And some fabrics for an exciting 'boy' themed project I am working on as well. SUPER excited about this one...
So with this new exciting beginning to the year ahead of us, I want to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship, support and encouragement this past year. May 2009 be filled to the brim with happiness and creativity! I look forward to sharing my 2009 with you x Janelle

That store looks amazing! It's so light and airy. Delish fabrics too. Will follow the boy project with interest, all the stuff that appeals to me so far has all been girlie stuff but now that I also have a son I need to broaden my horizons!

They are such friendly people/staff at the wonderful, Blueberries shop and the fabric is just delish xxx It is my fav place :):):)

That shop looks lovely and love your colour selections. There are not much 'boy stuff' in the craft way that I can find I am very interested in what you are making for that - I find it hard to make things for my young nephue.
