Today I spent a lovely day with my girl. She had been SO patient with me since Christmas, waiting for me to teach her how to sew and today was the day. So together we started a little quilt for her baby doll Charlie. Emily chose all of the fabrics herself, and even learnt how to iron them. Then after I had cut them out she lay them out ready to stitch together.
She did a wonderful job and I was so proud of her. And the poor little mite has inherited her mothers perfectionism so we did have a few tears and a few pricked fingers as well. She did however stitch four rows together and they are looking wonderful. When she is ready, we will do some more.
Jasper spent the day playing with his cousins and Emily joined them for a few hours while she was having a break from her stitching. So I grabbed some time to do some more work on my new design too. Here is a little sneak peek of part of it to whet your appetite. More to follow soon.
Tomorrow we change Jasper's room around and put the finishing touches to Emily's as well. Lots of school holiday fun! x Janell

Wow!! Emily has a really good eye for colour and what looks good together- hardly surprising considering you are her mother!! I (and my sister) taught my niece how to sew and quilt, and I know how much of a thrill that is!
I just wanted to say also, that I love looking at your blog.. I have been in Germany for the last 3 months and counting, looking for work- without my boyfriend or my sewing machine (and am really missing my new quilt project packed up, half cut out in a box in Australia)!! So I hang out for each of your new blog posts- I love all of your colour combos and lovely fresh new patterns and ideas.. So thank you!!
Love, Jocelyn

What a clever little munchkin you have....
Miss Lilli has started her first stitchery these holidays, makes my heart happy to see her enjoying something crafty.

Wow you must have a ton of patience! I would love to teach Lilly one day but I think that she lacks the patience and concentration. She loves to scrapbook though because she can whip up a page quickly.
Love the teaser... I am loving red at the moment too. I will have to send you a pic of my handbag that I got for christmas. You will love it :o)
Happy Friday!
