Free-lensing Experimenting...

Hello everyone! Have you ever heard about free-lensing? It is a technique used with cameras that have a removable lens, and you take off the lens and hold it infront of the camera, and rotate it around, to make some of the image blurry!

Well, I discovered it a few days ago on elsie's blog! (here). My mum and I gave it a try, and at first, it didn't really work very well...

Even though you can't even see me or anything, I still kinda like them!

Then I did some more experimenting around the house...

The last one of my cat didn't really work... I still hadn't figured out how to change the shutter speed or anything...

But then I tried it on my dog and brother...

Then after I took them my mum wanted me to take some What I Wore Wednesday photo's for her, and afterwards I took these photos of her and my brother... (they are my favourites)

How to Make a Circle Photo!

Have you ever wondered how to turn your photo's into a circle? Well, using Photoshop, you can! I am going to teach you how to, hooray! Here we go...

Step 1. First you need to open the photo you would like to make into a square. I chose this instagram photo I took of a page from a vintage Bambi book.

Step 2. Then you need to go up to the top and go to Layer -> New -> Layer.

Step 3. Then a box will appear. Make sure that everything matches the above. You can also name the layer if you want to, but it is not necessary.

Step 4. Making sure you are on the new layer you just created, chose the Fill Bucket tool.

Step 5. Make your colour white, and click on the photo. Then everything should go white.

Step 6. Then you need to select the Eraser tool. Make sure it is the Eraser Tool, not the Magic Eraser Tool.

Step 7. Then you need to make the Eraser as big as possible (mine was at 500), and click in the box. Then your photo will appear through like this...

Step 9. Then go to Layer -> Flatten Image

Step 10. Go over to the toolbar and chose the Magic Eraser Tool

Step 11. Then you need to press anywhere over in the white section, and it will look like the above!

And then you are done, hooray! have fun making circles!

Christmas Day!

Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you all about my Christmas Day!

First of all we woke up really early, grabbed our santa sacks with the presents from Santa, and went into our mum and dad's bed to open them. From Santa I got a movie, a smiggle pack, new textas and a pair of goggles!

Then we came out to our lounge room to open all of the presents under our tree! First I opened my secret santa's, but I am blogging about them tomorrow!

I got LOT'S of AWESOME presents! But I didn't photograph them all! So, here is some of the presents I got... (please excuse our tired morning faces and messy hair!)

I got a China-Lily custom blythe doll! And she is not just an ordinary custom, she is my mini me! She has moles in the same places as me, she wears the same glasses as me, has brown eyes, brown hair and just looks like me! She has a mohair skinny scalp and the mohair is sooo soft! And you see the dress she is wearing? Well, that was made out of a vintage apron, and that same material is on her eyelids! And she has a tilt neck licca body, so you can tilt and move her head from side to side! And on her pull cords, she has a camera charm that flashes! YAY YAY YAY! And I decided to name her Milly, because that is a shortened version of my name! Thank-you sooo much to my mum, dad and China-lily for getting her for me! I just LOVE her sooo much! 

Oh, and also, do you know who Milly used to be? Well, she used to be my mum's blythe doll Paisley! (You may know her better as 'Little Miss no-name' and the Simply Vanilla who we gave Phoebe Maybe hair!)

My brother and I both got a sock monkey made by Mandy! They are SO adorable, cute and soft! We LOVE them! Thank-you soo much Mummy, Daddy and Mandy!

I got a HD video camera! It is called a HD Everio. It is sooo fun to take movies on it! And it has Depth of Feild, and I have always wanted a video camera with depth of feild! Thank-you soooo much Mummy, Daddy, Granny and Grandad!

Then I opened an... Ichigo Heaven!! She has been my dream blythe doll ever since I first discovered blythe in early 2010, and now I finally own her! Thank-you soooo much Mummy and Daddy! I just LOVE her SO much! And thank-you to Stella for letting them buy her of you! I decided to name her Winnie! And there is a really funny story about when I opened her...

It was a square shaped box, and then I opened it and there was a kettle box. I thought that I had actually been given a kettle! But my mum said to open that box, and there was a Cappuccino Chat box, and there was wrapping paper all around her! So I unwrapped that, and there was still wrapping paper of the front of the box where you can look at her! So, I pulled that of and there was Winnie! eeekkk! I screamed SO loud! teehee!

Anyway, after that excitement was over, we got dressed and headed over to my Grandparents house for breakfast with them and some of my cousins!

For breakfast we had pancakes, and we have them every year on Christmas and Mother's Day! This was my Uncles Pancake (above) and it looked really yummy!

This is me and Milly at breakfast. I took her, Winnie and Elsie to breakfast.

Then after breakfast we opened more presents! Can you see the white Christmas tree above? Well, it is my Granny and Grandads vintage tree, and it has vintage decorations, and it is the most AWESOMEST tree EVER!

I found 4 AWESOME vintage deer figurines, (above is 2 of them) and my Grandparents said that we could have them, YAY!!!

And then we went home for a while to play with our new toys and things, and then later on we came back again for tea! Here is a movie I made about our tea with my new video camera!...
